Nike Chalkbot - An Inspiring video, an inspiring idea.

This is a simple and effective filmic story that's about a complicated concept that some engineers translated into a powerful and effective idea.  We should see a lot of this in the future.  It's a robotic painting machine called Chalklbot funded by Nike and Livestrong.  People submit messages which are reviewed - from the pool 100,000 will be chosen to get printed along the Tour de France route.  Cool idea.  This is not only a great idea but it's also well crafted film explaining the cool idea.

Check out the new Jack Welch show - It's Everybody's Business - by the insufferable, ever self-promoting, business couple of the ---  the nano-second?  They do everything together.  They write columns in business magazines and now they do a Microsoft sponsored 'show' on the web?  What's next -a business infommercial on the Playboy Channel advising pole dancers on how to better manage their money?   I sure hope they got paid a lot to do this.  I guess Jack and Suzy's GE stock holdings were slammed in last fall's stock market self immolation.

The show has some cool interactive features, around the edges.... but in the final analysis they are doing old school TV, and they both look, how can I say it gently?   OLD!   What's so new about this concept?  So, what do you think?

Lonely Highway Fight - Krispy Kreme

This spot is beautifully shot.  Love the ominous sky with the dark rolling clouds - probably a cloud tank.  Every director wants a shot at a fight scene.  I would sure love to try one.   Nice payoff at the ending.  Simple, subtle, elegant.  It works.  Never seen it on TV, but it sure do work!  Maybe it's a theatre spot or a web only commercial?

Nice Evian France SPEFX Commercial

This is quite a production for Evian France.  Sure to be a hit.  However they did it, it must have taken a lot of time and people to make it look this good.  The babies don't look quite real and there are little tells that show some frames out of focus and lots of narrow focus fields.  Bottom line - it's fun to watch.

Not sure what this is about but it's funny, sad and most peculiar all in one little poorly shot film clip.  Friends of mine are obsessed by these ladies so I thought it only appropriate to share the clip with my online video watching friends. These two fallen dowagers are discussing Opera.  The fur hat lady tells her heavier set friend that she knows nothing about opera... and away they go.
