Between the Folds: An Origami Film

This movie is about far more than it seems at first blush.  It's about potential and art within science.  Look for the doc airing Dec 8 on the show PBS’s Independent Lens. The doc tells the story of 10 artists and scientists who are practitioners of origami - the fine art of paper-folding.  It shows how origami offers a gateway to science and technology and creative thinking.  The film is written and directed by Vanessa Gould.

Summer McCartney Show @ Yankees Stadium, Big Stage Fireworks

Here's a sampling from Paul McCartney's summer opening performance Yankees stadium.  Live and Let Die, one of my favorite non-Beatles songs of his!

Heavy Commercial

This Italian PSA featuring a set of twins seems light and carefee until you get the sense that it's really about something much more serious...  The light music track threw me.  It's a bit abstract as the one boy struggles to care for the other.  The film leaves you with a menacing, empty feeling when you realize it's about sexual abuse.

Nuns - Rubber Cement

Here's a beaut.  It's a French rubber cement commercial.  Not a word is spoken... nor does it need to be spoken.  It's masterfully lit, elegantly produced, and FUNNY.  What a combo!
