Good Sound Can Make B+ Work Great

This review of the most expensive car in the world, the Bugatti Veyron, is impressive, but what makes it even better still is the great sound of the car.  It wouldn't be as distinctive a piece without it.

Here's Conan during his last week on NBC with the Bugatti Veyron.

Time's Top 10 Viral Videos of 2009: Do you Agree?

This hit list of Time's fave viral videos ranges from a groggy six year old's trip to the dentist to a man walking, to the tale of a guitar trashed by United Airlines, to a wedding party dancing, to a baby dancing to Beyonce, to the top watched video last year - Scotland's Susan Boyle's singing 'I dreamed a Dream' performance.

Here's a comprehensive list of all of Time's Top 10 lists for 2009.

Here it Goes Again is the runner up of my favorites with almost 50 million YouTube views, but the record companies refuse to let you embed it so you'll have to click on this link to see it. How many takes do you think it took them to get this one cut wonder right?  Here it Goes Again.

And my favorite.... is a viral video that's not even on this list.... it's the ripoff of the wedding dance done by the office at Jim and Pam's wedding.  The timing could not have been more perfect for this silly little viral video to get copied by one of America's top TV shows.  It's sweet and fun, and it all seems so right.

Water Droplet - How does water absorb a droplet?

This high speed video shot at 2000 frames per second will give a surprise answer to the questions above.  It doesn't happen the way you would think.  Harken back to your old high school physics classes.  Hint - Has something to do with surface tension.

Yale - A College Admissions Video with a Twist.... and a Shout.

Here's an amusing piece created internally by Yale for prospective Yale students.  It's a 'short film length' (15 mintues long) admissions video that's inspired by Glee as well as the old school approach to admissions and admissions videos.... but, what's important here is that is is a REAL admissions video.  I think it's quite well done, but it's hard to take seriously.  Is it a joke or real?  In the aged of mockumentaries I kept asking myself when the BIG joke would come.  It definitely breaks out of the coat and tie, proper Yale man kind of thing, but I am not sure it knows what it is.  I was expecting the huge Slum Dog  dance number with a large group dancing, but was disasppointed that they weren't a little better choreographed for such a well made production.  Nevertheless kudos to Yale for giving the concept a shot.  Far from the expected for that institution.
