This is nice work... it's tasteful, well designed and elegantly simple. It's Newt Gingrich's new ad and it's all words and music. Not one spoken word. Well done.
A quick reminder friends, this is a political blog, it focuses on creativity, production and execution.
Not sure if this is for real or not, but I could see him breaking out. It's not clear if he's seven or eight, but hey, this would seem to be splitting hairs. He's young and talented. MattyBRaps. Hmmmmm
An ad is causing waves in Canada, waves the Saudi governement hopes to quiet, according to yesterday's NY Times. The story says that "after receiving a threat of legal action from a lawyer representing the Saudis" the network, "Canada's largest private broadcaster, CTV, has refused to show a television commercial produced by the Ethical Oil Institute, an oil sands advocacy group."
Here's the ad.
Alas I find no reaction or statement in the press from the Saudi government to explain their position.
This effort to brand oil sands oil as 'ethical oil' does not address the significant environmental toll that will be incurred by this region of Canada from the oil extraction process.
This one has been around for a while. It's a British PSA advising consumers on the do's and dont's of extinguising a kitchen oil fire. This one is quite graphic with a shocking ending.
Here's a fun twist from Coopenhagen on Flash Mobs. An orchestral flash mob at Coopenhagen's Central Station from the Coopenhagen Philharmonic. They are conducted by Jeper Nordin and are playing Ravel's Bolero.
