Gatsby's Back and Baz Luhrmann Takes It Way Out There

In a trailer for Baz Lurmann's latest Uberwork, The Great Gatsby, Baz shows he's all Jazzed up on trippy buzzing screens again and packed with action.  Nothing is real, and everything is overdone... Baz style.  A solemn Leonardo DiCaprio seems incapable of pulling off a Gatsby style performance while the contemporary music of Jay-Z and Kanye strikes me as harshly incongruent.

Baz needs to tone it down many, many notches.  They sure show the big budget on the screen, but this film doesn't work for me.  You'll need to take a nap after watching this high energy chaos.

What happens when a goat falls in love with a dog at an ASPCA?  You need to adopt both of them, if you have a heart.  Here's a tail of love that may be not so forbidden between a cloven hooved goat and a padded foot dog.  Would make some crazy looking kippies, wouldn't they?

What if the documentary you thought you were watching was actually a promo for a new video game.... say one with the name Call of Duty?  Well that's the scenario in a new newsy looking promo for the high tech video game (Call of Duty Black Ops 2) and it stars Reagan administration fall guy Oliver North.  Funny how some members of history can have nine lives and live on and on.

Time Lapse of Venice

Here's some great time lapse video shot by Joerg Niggli in Venice.  The way it's shot the people and boats look like toy models.... this has an extremely peculiar transe like effect, though it's fun to watch.
