Stride Gum Commercial - Sure to Leave a BAD Taste in Your Mouth

This tasteless commercial for Stride gum shocks me.... it's in such horrible taste that you have to wonder how JWT would be willing to recommend it; what kind of brand manager would ever agree to produce it, test it and run it?  Director Michael Downing shold be embarrassed to have his name associated with this commercial.  Perhaps it's a late, late April Fool's day joke.... I sure hope so.  Just goes to show that a commercial depicting long lasting with a death analogy must also be in bad taste.
